Overview
Refund eligibility is determined by the event organizer's event policy unless otherwise required by applicable Malaysian law. AcaraX provides the platform infrastructure but refund decisions may depend on the organizer, payment gateway status and event terms.
Participants who wish to request a refund must contact the event organizer directly, as AcaraX does not independently authorize or process refunds on behalf of organizers.
1. Organizer-Managed Refunds
Each event organizer sets their own refund policy. Before registering for a paid event, participants are advised to review the organizer's stated refund terms. Organizers may set refund policies such as:
- Full refund within a stated number of days before the event
- Partial refund depending on cancellation timing
- No refund once registration is confirmed
- Refund by credit or transfer to a future event
AcaraX does not override organizer-set refund terms except in cases required by applicable law.
2. Event Cancellation by Organizer
If an event is cancelled by the organizer, participants are generally entitled to a refund of the ticket price paid. The organizer is responsible for notifying participants and arranging refunds through the payment gateway used for the transaction. AcaraX will assist by providing transaction records upon request.
3. Event Postponement
If an event is postponed, refund eligibility depends on the organizer's policy. Participants should contact the event organizer to clarify whether tickets remain valid for the new date or whether a refund is available.
4. Non-Refundable Tickets
Some tickets may be designated as non-refundable by the event organizer. This includes but is not limited to:
- Early bird tickets with promotional pricing
- Tickets purchased within a stated non-refundable window
- Free tickets (no monetary refund applicable)
- Tickets for events where the organizer has stated a no-refund policy
5. Platform Fees
AcaraX platform fees collected during ticket purchase are generally non-refundable as they cover platform infrastructure and processing costs, regardless of whether a ticket refund is granted by the organizer.
6. Refund Request Process
To request a refund for a ticket purchased through AcaraX:
- Step 1: Contact the event organizer directly using the contact details provided on the event page
- Step 2: Provide your registration details, ticket code and reason for the refund request
- Step 3: The organizer will review and process the request in accordance with their refund policy
- Step 4: If the organizer approves the refund, processing time depends on the payment gateway used (typically 7–14 business days)
7. Contact AcaraX Support
If you are unable to reach the event organizer or require assistance with a disputed transaction, you may contact AcaraX support at support@acarax.my. AcaraX will attempt to assist in facilitating communication between the participant and organizer but does not guarantee refund outcomes.
